TOY SWAP!!
This November we are hosting a FREE TOY SWAP event!
We are joining hundred's of community groups across the UK, We are doing this in place of our monthly Jumble sale (which will be back as normal on December 13th).
It will be held in the Methodist Church hall on the High street and there will be a drop off opportunity for toy donations on Thursday 5th November 10:00 -1:00 and Saturday 09:30 - 11:30 or just bring them along on the day...Sunday 8th 1:30 till 3:30.
Its completely FREE, you don't even have to bring anything to swap. Just come along and pick up some pre-loved toys for free, keeping them from landfill and saving money this Christmas!
We are accepting any toys that your kids have grown out of, as long as they're clean and in good working order. No soft toys though, sorry.
Jumble is MASSIVE!
Starting on August 9th we launched our monthly jumble sale at the Methodist Church hall on Westgate, Guisborough. It is on the 2nd Sunday of every month from 1:30 until 3:30pm. The next Jumble is on December 13th. We will also have a free family eco crafts drop in work shop at that event.
Got quality items to sell? Book a table at Jumble is Massive! for just £5 and turn your unwanted treasures into cash while helping reduce waste. The Nest’s eco stall and a different environmental pop-up each month, it’s set to be a vibrant community event. Clear some space, make some money, and be part of Guisborough’s biggest monthly jumble!
We have also recently taken over the highly popular Guisborough Jumble Trail. This was a bi-annual event that ran across the whole town where people could sell things from their doorstep and be added to an online map so people could find them.
We are planning a new spin on the Jumble trail with lots of fun new elements...watch this space!
Could you be our new Trustee?
We are looking for a passionate and committed trustee to help guide The Nest as we grow. If you care about building stronger communities, protecting the environment, and making a positive difference across the Guisborough and Tees valley, we would love to hear from you. You don't need previous trustee experience, just good judgement, enthusiasim and a willingness to help shape our future. We have been awarded an amazing grant of £19,950 from the gorgeous people at The National Lottery Community Fund for Environmental projects! This is going to enable us to run so many incredible projects this year and help us to develop The Nest into something really substantial and impactful for our communities! We are so grateful for this amazing opportunity and thank all the players of The National Lottery, as without you, we wouldn't have this money to continue our work!
