We have been awarded an amazing grant of £19,950 from the gorgeous people at The National Lottery Community Fund for Environmental projects! This is going to enable us to run so many incredible projects this year and help us to develop The Nest  into something really substantial and impactful for our communities! We are so grateful for this amazing opportunity and thank all the players of The National Lottery, as without you, we wouldn't have this money to continue our work!

Peoples emergency Briefing: Coming to Guisborough

This new film from the National Emergency Briefing sets out the risks facing the nation - and the credible, positive responses available - in a clear and accessible account designed for screenings in communities across the UK. The UK faces a growing climate and nature emergency. Yet most people have never been fully briefed on what it means for our lives, our economy and our future.

We will be screening the film at Sunnyfield house on Westgate in Guisborough and tickets are available from our page at Zeffy  Tickets are free but donations towards the running of this event are much appreciated.

After the screening we will have a refreshment break and a Q & A open discussion with our incredible panel of guests: MP Luke Myers, Cllr Alec Brown - Leader of Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council, Cllr Carrie Richardson - Cabinet Member for Climate and Culture and Deputy Leader of Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council, Cllr Jemma Joy Hutton Ward Councillor and co-founder of The Nest and Mr Rob Tucker - Redcar and Cleveland Friends of the Earth.
